a thought from this summer

I was revisiting this thought this morning with the idea of filing it down into more of a smooth poem, but I decided it might be cool to see what it looks like scanned in as-is. the words are also transcribed below the image. I think it's important to remember that humans are nature, and our world makes it very easy to not just forget that but to place humans above nature.

humans are nature.
we've built a false reality that separates us from it.
puts us above the land and animals.
gives us control of the earth.
control of the gifts provided naturally.
created a god in the image of man.
in the image of ultimate power.
and that is silly.
our world centered on praising humans.
humans are nature.
we do not survive because of what man has done.
we survive because of what the earth provides.
the earth will survive without man.
man will not survive without the earth.
releasing the idea of power and control,
releasing the idea of ownership over earth,
ownership over nature,
ownership over land,
ownership over people.
recentering the focus the focus on life.
survival. our shared nature.
is where peace lives.
what are we afraid of?
